The UV-C Hand Held Sanitiser® (UV-C Miracle Wand V.2) delivers a high UV-C dose, proven to kill bacteria and viruses (including SARS-CoV-2), in less than 1.3 seconds, making it a must-have tool in the fight against diseases in the healthcare, commercial and food industry.
Rapid disinfection of healthcare equipment, hard/soft surfaces, and individual items. Kills 99.999% of bacteria, viruses, microorganisms and reduces cross-contamination; resulting in a cleaner and safer environment. Some bacteria and viruses need longer exposure time; therefore the manufacturer’s recommendation of 10 seconds of exposure will ensure a kill rate of 99.999% of all bacteria, viruses, and mould spores.
According to independent research conducted by the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL) at Boston University School of Medicine, the UV dose levels required to reduce SARS-CoV-2 (the viruses responsible for COVID-19) are as follows:
Battery life
After 1 hour’s continuous usage the UV irradiance levels drop by 30% from 38.75 W/m2 to 27.12 W/m2 . Therefore the exposure time would need to be increased to 1.84 seconds for a 99% reduction and 8.11 seconds for a 99.9999% reduction. In accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, keep the battery pack fully charged in between use.
